New SMGA Blog Updates

I have made many updates and code changes to SMGA the web site. Some of these are visible to you as a user, others are just background items that make the site more robust and flexible.

For the items that are visible to you, here are the new features.

  • Course Stats – Handicap Analysis.  At the top fo the “Course Stats” page, you will see a button called “HC Analysis”. This will show you scores delta to par, similar to the normal course stats, but it is bracketed by handicap ranges.  This allows you to see average gross scores by hole split by low, mid and high handicap players.
  • Multi round support for events.  Events like the Club Championship have multiple rounds.  You can now see your individual round details for each round played within an event.  This was not the case before
  • Colors / Heatmap.  I have updated the color gradients for the heat maps to make it much more readable.  (If anyone cares I’m using a modified tri-color gradient based on cosine of the percentage penetration into the range  🙂  Hopefully this will make it much easier to read.

Regards,
-Eric
